Liquor Licenses

In addition to obtaining a General Business/Sales and Use Tax License, which can be obtained using our online portal, businesses that will be selling/serving liquor are also required to obtain the appropriate Liquor License. Learn more on our Liquor Licenses page.

Right-of-Way

General public improvements constructed on public right-of-way, easements and other public property, and utility services on private property between the property line and the building require a permit. Short-Term Rentals

Beginning January 1, 2024, Westminster will allow short-term rentals in the city. These rentals are required to have a business and sales tax license, which can be obtained using our City of Westminster Tax Portal, and a short-term rental license. Special Event Permits

A special event/temporary use permit is required if your special event or temporary use will:

  • Be open to the public
  • Expect to draw 25 or more people
