Planning Commission

Overview

The Planning Commission reviews and approves plans for the City’s future growth, development, and land use, ensuring compliance with City ordinances and good planning practices. It also evaluates zoning changes, annexations, development proposals, variances, and appeals related to land use regulations.

Meetings

Planning Commission meetings are held in person in City Council Chambers on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Meetings are open to the public. Please see the city calendar for all meeting dates and changes.

Public participation is encouraged and can be done in person or virtually. See guidelines and instructions on how to give testimony (PDF). Community members are encouraged to attend in person or listen to the meeting on the City's YouTube channel.

Note: Persons needing accommodation, such as an interpreter for another language, or who have an impairment that requires accommodation, must notify the Planning Aide no later than noon on the Thursday prior to the scheduled Planning Commission hearing to allow adequate time to make arrangements.
