The city's Boards and Commissions can challenge and engage you in a variety of areas that help to preserve the quality of life you enjoy in your hometown while providing valuable input to the Westminster City Council.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a registered elector of the city
- Must have been a resident of the city for at least one year
- Must pass a background check
- Must meet specific board/commission eligibility requirements, if necessary
Additional Information:
- Applications will remain active for 24 months. After that period, you will need to reapply
- These are volunteer positions, not full-time positions.
- Volunteer positions are not paid.
- Time commitments vary: some boards meet monthly, others just a few times per year.
- Terms of office are two years. Members must remain city residents and registered voters for the duration.
- Appointees may serve up to four consecutive terms.
- All members are required to complete onboarding upon appointment and annually for the duration of their service on a board or commission.
