Councillor Amber Hott began their service on City Council on December 4, 2023.
Personal Life
Amber is happily married with three young adult children, a dog, a cat, and two cockatiels.
Professionally, Amber works as a middle school teacher at Westminster Public Schools. They previously worked as a legislative aide in the Colorado State Senate, where they gained invaluable experience in policy development. They will bring their passion for advocacy, affordability, and sustainability to Westminster City Council for the benefit of our community.
Education
Amber received their Bachelor's in Applied Psychology from Regis University.
Community Service
Amber's commitment to serving others extends beyond their profession, having volunteered with organizations such as The Denver Rescue Mission, Project Angel Heart, and Habitat for Humanity. Additionally, as a member of the Jefferson County IDEA Task Force, Amber has actively contributed to initiatives promoting inclusion and equality.
