Councillor Kristine Ireland began her service on City Council on December 4, 2023.
Personal Life & Education
Ireland grew up in Omaha, Nebraska after graduating from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's degree in Retail Management and Merchandising. Ireland moved to Westminster with her husband, Scott, in 1986.
Community Service
Prior to starting her family, Kristine worked in the retail sector and is a long-time piano teacher of youth in our community and co-owner of a small business with her husband. She is active in her church, having served in several capacities including congregation organist, teacher, women's leader, communication and genealogy specialist, and financial self-reliance instructor.
She is passionate about her community and serving others. She has served for several years on her neighborhood's homeowners association (HOA) board and as a key leader of the grassroots Water Warriors group that helped lower Westminster's water rates. She is the mother of five children and grandmother of 11 - which is her most significant accomplishment and greatest joy.
