Westminster Archive Center
The Westminster Archive Center, established in 2023, serves as the repository for materials relating to the City of Westminster, Colorado and supports research and education related to local history and genealogy. In addition to the collection, the Westminster Archive Center also provides technology for the public to digitize their own history by making digital copies of family photographs and videos.
The Collection
The Westminster Archive Center is currently developing its collection for patron research and use, with a focus on City of Westminster records and papers. These collections encompass the history of the City’s governance, growth, and operation from incorporation in 1911 to the present. Collection formats include reports, newsletters, correspondence, published print materials, photographs, artifacts, and digital content, among other items.
The Archive also accepts donated materials from the community related to Westminster history, which may include family papers, annuals, directories, and oral histories. See the Westminster Archive Center’s collecting scope for more details on the Archive’s current collecting focus and priorities.
Visit the Archive’s new online Collection Catalog to see the available collections and submit requests to access material. Contact the Archive directly with any research inquiries.
If you are interested in donating collections to the Westminster Archive Center, email the Archive Center.
