Summer 2026 Theater Camp
Shrek JR. The Musical
Join us in the swamp for a one-of-a-kind theater adventure! Campers will act, sing, dance, and design their way through the hilarious world of Shrek the Musical JR. From casting to costumes, participants help bring the story to life — ogres, donkeys, dragons, and all! Every camper auditions and earns a role, and the final day features a performance for friends and family Ages: 8–14

- Parents are only allowed in the classroom for the Parent/Tot and Creative Movement and Pre-Dance classes.
Class Levels
2-3 years old = Chickadees
4-5 ½ years old = Bunnies
½ - 6 years old = Foxes
Creative Movement Ages: 2–3
This engaging class invites children to explore the joyful world of dance through imaginative motion and play. Young dancers discover basic dance concepts while learning classroom skills like listening, taking turns, and following directions—all in a fun and supportive environment.
Joy of Motion Ages: 3–6
Wiggle, giggle, and dance with delight! Little Groovers embark on a playful movement adventure that builds coordination, balance, flexibility, strength, and spatial awareness. Through creative games and music, dancers express themselves with joy and develop essential motor skills.
Parent/Tot Pre-Dance Ages: 2–3
Share the joy of dance with your little one! Parents and caregivers actively participate, helping guide their dancers through playful movement activities that introduce rhythm, structure, and the fun of a real dance class.
Pre-Ballet Ages: 3–6
A delightful introduction to ballet fundamentals. Young dancers explore basic technique—turnout, coordination, posture, and spatial awareness—while building imagination and confidence in a supportive environment.
Pre-Ballet / Hip Hop Ages: 3–6
This exciting class blends the structure of ballet with the upbeat energy of hip hop. Dancers develop coordination, strength, rhythm, and body awareness while learning foundational techniques in both styles.
Pre-Ballet / Jazz Ages: 3–6
An engaging introduction to two foundational dance styles. Dancers practice ballet basics and combine them with expressive jazz movement, learning terminology and technique in a fun, creative setting.
Pre-Ballet / Tap Ages: 3–6
A great introduction to the routines of dance class! This combo blends the elegance of ballet with the musicality of tap. Dancers build rhythm, coordination, and confidence while learning fundamental steps in both styles.
Pre-Hip Hop / Jazz Ages: 3–6
Discover the basics of jazz and hip hop while developing musicality, coordination, and body awareness. This class promotes creativity and expression through age-appropriate movement and beginner technique.
Pre-Pom Cheer Ages: 3–6
Get ready to jump, shout, and shake your pom-poms! This high-energy class introduces cheer basics, beginner jumps, arm motions, and fun pom choreography. Builds confidence, coordination, and team spirit.
Pre-Tap Ages: 3–6
A lively introduction to tap dance for little feet! Dancers explore rhythm, basic steps, musicality, and coordination through movement and imagination.
Pre-Tap / Jazz Ages: 3–6
Young dancers explore the rhythm of tap and the expressive movement of jazz. This combo class builds foundational skills in both styles through creative technique and energetic fun.
Pre-Tumbling Ages: 3–6
A foundational tumbling class focused on developing strength, flexibility, balance, and body control. Dancers learn proper form and basic skills that build confidence for future acro or dance training.
Preschool Art & Dance Combo Ages: 3–6
A creative blend of movement and art! This unique combo class encourages imagination, expression, and skill-building through energetic dance activities and hands-on art projects.
Youth Classes
Class Levels
Class Levels are a guide to help place youth students in the best class for them based on a combination of skill level, age, and years of experience. Please carefully read class descriptions and place your child in the class that seems best to you. If a child is placed in a class level that doesn't fit them, instructors have the discretion to switch a child to a different level. If you are unsure what level to select, feel free to email Cindy McDonald.
- Level 1 - For kids who are new to dance. No requirement for previous classes, years of experience, or skill level. Ballet has some stricter requirements, Ballet 1 is for ages 6+. Classes are designed to teach fundamentals. Recommended age: 5 to 8
- Level 2 - For kids who have some experience and have at least baseline ballet skills. Classes are designed to expand skills and fitness. Recommended age: 7 to 10
- Level 3 - Advanced classes for kids who are at or near Company level skills and experience. Classes are designed to maximize dance fitness, skills, and potential. Recommended age: 8 and up, with at least 2 to 3 years of dance experience and a high level of ballet competency.
Ballet Ages: Level 1 (6+), Level 2, Level 3
Graceful and refined, ballet forms the foundation of many dance styles. This class develops strength, stamina, control, posture, and technique through progressive skill-building.
Ballet / Jazz Ages: 5–15
Explore the foundations of both ballet and jazz in a lively, supportive setting. Dancers learn essential ballet technique alongside dynamic jazz movements and choreography, building confidence and versatility.
Ballet / Jazz / Tap Ages: 5–15
A multi-style class where dancers develop skills in ballet, jazz, and tap. Focus areas include turns, kicks, leaps, transitions, musicality, and proper technique in all three genres.
Ballet / Tap Ages: 5–15
A unique blend of ballet’s elegance and tap’s rhythmic energy. Dancers build coordination, musicality, and creativity while learning fundamental terminology and technique in both styles.
Baton – Beginning Ages: 5–15
A fun and engaging introduction to baton twirling! Dancers build fitness, flexibility, hand-eye coordination, poise, and self-confidence while learning basic twirling skills.
Baton – Intermediate Ages: 7–19
Advance your twirling skills with one and two batons, hoop batons, ribbons, and flags. This class builds strength, coordination, technique, and team choreography.
Baton – Advanced Ages: 7–19
Master advanced and competitive-level twirling, including multi-baton techniques. Dancers build performance quality, coordination, and confidence with opportunities for local competitions.
Boys’ Hip Hop / Break Ages: 6–12
A high-energy class focused on rhythm, coordination, control, and confidence. Dancers learn hip hop foundations and beginner breakdance techniques in a fun, upbeat environment.
Dancing Through the Eras Ages: 6–12
A high-energy class inspired by the evolving sounds, styles, and storytelling of today’s most popular pop albums. Each week, dancers explore new choreography reflecting different “eras,” building toward an exciting recital medley.
Hip Hop Ages: Level 1 & Level 2
This upbeat, high-energy class teaches rhythm, musicality, coordination, and expressive movement through age-appropriate hip hop choreography.
Lyrical / Jazz Ages: Level 2 (typically 10+)
A creative and technical blend of jazz, lyrical, ballet, and elements of modern and hip hop. Perfect for dancers ready for increased challenge, expression, and technique development.
Music Video Dance Lab Ages: 10+
A collaborative, performance-based class where dancers learn choreography, help storyboard scenes, and participate in the creation of an original “music video” to be premiered at recital. No personal devices required; all filming shared privately with families only.
Pom / Cheer Ages: 8+
Prepare for school spirit teams with sideline and floor routines, jumps, motions, flexibility work, and audition tips. Focus areas include strength, stamina, mobility, and sharp technique.
Theater / Jazz Ages: 8+
A fun and expressive class blending acting, character work, and jazz technique. Dancers build stage presence, confidence, and performance skills through movement and storytelling.
TikTok Dance Lab: Create, Choreograph, Capture Ages: 10+
Learn how to build trending short-form dances from the ground up! Dancers explore formations, choreography, creative filming, and digital-age performance skills while practicing safe online habits. Family-only video sharing; no devices needed.
Adult Classes
Adult Ballet – Beginner Ages: 18+
Step into the graceful world of ballet in this beginner-friendly class designed especially for adults. No experience needed — just enthusiasm! Learn foundational ballet technique, posture, balance, and barre fundamentals while building strength, flexibility, and confidence in a supportive environment.
Adult Hip Hop Ages: 18+
Move, groove, and have fun in this high-energy hip hop class for adults of all skill levels. Learn classic and contemporary hip hop styles while improving rhythm, coordination, and fitness. A lively, welcoming space to express yourself, stay active, and build confidence through upbeat music and dynamic choreography.

Private Dance Lessons
The City of Westminster offers private dance lessons, including solo, duet and trio options. This format will provide a personalized and tailored experience to enhance your dance skills with lessons tailored to your style and pace, helping you refine technique. Improve confidence and achieve your dance goals.
