Election Information
Westminster's 2025 municipal election will be held Tuesday, November 4. Westminster residents will be electing a new Mayor and three City Councillors, in addition to voting on Ballot Measure 3H. SHALL CITY OF WESTMINSTER TAXES BE INCREASED BY $14 MILLION ANNUALLY IN THE FIRST FULL FISCAL YEAR AND BY SUCH AMOUNTS AS ARE RAISED ANNUALLY THEREAFTER BY INCREASING THE EXISTING CITY SALES AND USE TAX BY 0.4% AND THE RESULTING TAX REVENUES BEING USED TO:
- REDUCE RESPONSE TIME AND MAINTAIN EMERGENCY SERVICES CITYWIDE BY HIRING A MINIMUM OF THIRTY (30) FIREFIGHTERS, EMERGENCY MEDICAL AND SUPPORT PERSONNEL, INCLUDING PERSONNEL FOR NEW STATIONS IN NORTH AND CENTRAL WESTMINSTER,
- CONSTRUCT AND OPERATE A NEW FIRE STATION IN CENTRAL WESTMINSTER FOR RAPID RESPONSE TO MEDICAL AND FIRE EMERGENCIES,
- PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN EMERGENCY VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT, AND MODERNIZE FACILITIES TO BETTER PROTECT THE PUBLIC AND FIRST RESPONDERS, INCLUDING REBUILDING STATION 3,
- IMPROVE, MAINTAIN, AND PRIORITIZE NEIGHBORHOOD STREETS AND CITY ROADWAYS WITH A MINIMUM OF $2 MILLION ANNUALLY, AND
WITH THE RESULTING TAX REVENUE BEING ALLOWED TO BE COLLECTED AND SPENT NOTWITHSTANDING ANY LIMITATIONS PROVIDED BY LAW?

Last day to file signed nomination petitions with the City Clerk’s office. C.R.S. 1-4-805
Friday, August 29
Last day to cure insufficient nomination petitions by 5:00 p.m. C.R.S. 1-4-805
Tuesday, September 2
Last day to file an affidavit of intent to run as a write-in candidate. C.R.S. 1-4-1102(2)
Tuesday, September 2
Election Commission will meet to draw Ballot Order for candidates. The meeting will be held from 6 - 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 4800 W 92nd Ave, Westminster, CO, 80031.
Friday, September 5
First Campaign Finance Report Due (60 Days Prior to Election) to the City Clerk's Office. Please email completed reports to cityclerk@westminsterco.gov.
Friday, September 5
Last day to finalize the City’s ballot and certify content to Adams County Clerk. Last day for candidates to call and record their names with the County Clerk for hearing impaired ballot by 3 p.m. C.R.S. 1-5-203(3)(a)
Friday, September 19 – Friday, October 3
County Clerk can issue a mail ballot to a voter who requests one in person. C.R.S. 1-7.5-107(2.7)
Tuesday, October 7
Second Campaign Finance Report Due (30 Days Prior to Election) to the City Clerk's Office. Please email completed reports to cityclerk@westminsterco.gov.
Monday, October 13 – Friday, October 17
Mail ballots may be sent to voters. C.R.S. 1-7.5-107(3)(a) (no sooner than 22 days before the election and no later than 18 days before the election)
Monday, October 20
Third Campaign Finance Report Due (15 Days Prior to Election) to the City Clerk's Office. Please email completed reports to cityclerk@westminsterco.gov.

Last day for ballots cast by military and overseas voters to be received by the county clerk by close of business in order to be counted. C.R.S. 1-8.3-113(2)
Wednesday, November 26
Deadline for the County Board of Canvassers to complete the election canvass. C.R.S. 1-10-102(1)
Monday, December 1
Newly-elected officials to be sworn in at City Council meeting.
Thursday, December 4
Post-election contributions and expenditures (30 days after the election) report due to City Clerk’s office. Please email reports to cityclerk@westminsterco.gov.
