SAGE Sustainable Business Program Supports Local Businesses to Save
In 2024, ten Westminster businesses were supported by the SAGE Sustainable Business Program's Accelerator Grant, totaling $32,328 in reimbursed funds! The grant provides funds to cover up to 75% of sustainability related project costs, capped at $5,000 per business per year. SAGE supported efficiency upgrades at the following local businesses:
- Be Loved Salon and Style Lounge, Icebox Cryotherapy Westminster, and Cesar’s Barbershop, helping to keep costs down for these hardworking business owners.
- Grant funds helped upgrade equipment like Taste of Philly’s 15-year-old griddle and broken fryers, as well as A Luxury Limo’s outdated dishwasher for an energy star certified model.
These upgrades save precious water and energy resources and costs. In addition, these projects highlight that what is good for business, can also be good for our planet and community!
