DRCOG accepting applications for spring 2020 Citizens' Academy

Are you or someone you know interested in learning more about regionally-significant issues and projects? Do you want to know more about initiatives dealing with regional growth and demographics, economic vitality, transportation and civic engagement? Do you want to learn how you can contribute to enhancing the region’s successes and address emerging and ongoing challenges?  The Denver Regional Council of Government’s (DRCOG) spring 2020 Citizens’ Academy is now accepting applications.

Through this nationally-recognized academy, participants learn from local experts and leaders, network with other residents, and act on what they’ve learned. Since 2007, about 900 residents from around the region have completed the academy.

Over the past decade, the Citizens’ Academy has inspired and prepared numerous alumni to serve as elected officials, and hundreds of participants have gone on to positions in public agencies or non-profit organizations that shape Colorado’s future.

The application period will close on Friday, March 6. The seven-week academy begins Thursday, April 2.
