Meet Jody Andrews: Candidate for City Manager


 

On behalf of Westminster City Council, please join us for a public meet-and-greet with Jody Andrews, the lone candidate for city manager, on Wednesday, September 11, at 6 p.m. in City Hall (4800 W. 92nd Avenue).

Residents can submit questions to the Mayor and City Council through an online form, which is available here and on the City’s website. The form will be open until Tuesday, September 10, at 6 p.m.

The meet-and-greet event will be livestreamed and recorded on the City’s YouTube channel and Facebook page for those who prefer to attend virtually.

Ahead of the meet-and-greet with the community, City Council will organize a meet-and-greet for City staff on September 11, and convene an executive session for the purpose of interviewing Mr. Andrews for the city manager position on Saturday, September 7. Please note that executive sessions are not open to the public and will not be livestreamed.

Jody Andrews has served as the City of Westminster’s acting city manager since July and was previously interim city manager from October 2021-22. Mr. Andrews has served the city in various leadership roles for more than a decade including as Deputy City Manager (2015-2021) and Public Works Director (2013-2015). Prior to his work for Westminster, Mr. Andrews served as the Deputy City Manager for Vancouver, BC (Canada). During his tenure with the city of Vancouver, he served as the project manager for Vancouver’s 2010 Olympic Village. In addition, Mr. Andrews served as the Director at the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (2009-2012) where he led the design and construction of the United Arab Emirates’ capital city. Mr. Andrews earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of British Columbia.
